Most of us know our personality style, but do you know the type of your company's culture? It's just as important and can make a big difference on whether you feel like you're a good fit or not.
I never imagined this division of types but now that you've explained them I can look back on my career and it all makes more sense now. Thanks, Laura. Well done!
Thanks Dave! I’ll be covering the three other cultures in upcoming weeks and then, who knows, I may launch into the four personality styles of DiSC! Bwahahaha!
Wow Laura, this really resonates. I've been a student of personalities and have found it the most helpful tool in relating to people. Recently retired, I can see how I eventually started matching my traits with like minded organizations, and it really makes a difference.
This is especially true during interviews. When I was considering healthcare specialties, specifically nursing, one veteran nurse was the liaison for the program. She checked all the boxes, for not pursuing the program! Nurses are great people; compassionate, skilled, empathetic, problem solvers. I tried another specialty, and this program director checked all the boxes. Thirty years later, personality matters!
Hi Ron. It is fascinating stuff, isn’t it? And I didn’t get into it yet, but there are secondary support cultures at play as well. Ex: like accounting and finance within an enrichment enterprise. That culture is coming up next week.

Congratulations on your retirement!
I’ll be curious to read it Laura! Thanks so much!
